6+ Grade Seeds
Where every great story begins
Makhana comes in grades — from 1 (smallest) to 6+ (largest). Most brands use grades 3-4 because they're cheaper. We refuse anything below 6+.
Grade 6+ seeds are the biggest, roundest, and most perfectly puffed lotus seeds you can find. They're rarer — only about 15-20% of a harvest qualifies — which is why most brands don't bother. But these seeds roast better, crunch louder, and absorb flavors more evenly.
What makes 6+ Grade special?

Perfectly puffed with a hollow, crispy interior

Even heat distribution for consistent crunch
Flavor absorption
More surface area holds seasoning better
Our founder Kiran personally inspects samples from every batch before purchasing. If the grade isn't right — too small, unevenly puffed, or showing signs of moisture damage — the entire lot is rejected. No exceptions.
It costs more. It's harder to source consistently. But when you bite into our makhana, you'll know why we don't settle.
